Who are Astroworkz

The Astroworkz mission is to provide guidance and assistance to newcomers to astronomy as well as provide information and educational guides across a wide range of topics.

All our team members are active astronomers with a passion for education and assisting newcomers to the hobby. Our aim is to encourage and educate while providing a level of entertainment along the way.

You will find something for everyone here from beginners guides, to tips and tricks for the more experienced astronomer.  We will be bringing you impartial equipment guides and reviews, plenty of hints, tips and ideas to help you get the best out of the hobby and if you are a newcomer, lots of encouragement to get your started in this amazing global hobby.

Simon Lewis

Founder - Lead Presenter
When not imaging from his home observatory, he is busy organising outreach and public events for the Canterbury Astronomical Society where he is the current Vice-President. Simon is also a busy member of the ZWO Astronomy product support team and global ambassador, an Explore Scientific Global ambassador and moderator of a number of astro imaging Facebook pages.  Simon has written beginners guides for astrophotography and equipment and educational articles for CAS and a number of astronomy magazines.

Tyler Bowman

Founder - Lead Presenter
Tyler has the envious position of having his hobby as his job! He is an active astrophotographer located in Springdale, Arkansas where his daytime job is looking after Explore Scientific's customer base. He loves helping beginners understand astronomy and astrophotography and he plays an active role in his local astronomical society where he enjoys showing others how to get the best out of their hobby. Tyler enjoys writing equipment reviews and user guides for beginners and creates some great Youtube videos for Astroworkz.
